Background: Disovered TRP about 8 years ago after I was cheated on by an ex. It was eye opening. In college I was Chad, but I had devolved into a beta over the course of that relationship. Dumped her, got my shit together, rebuilt my frame and spun plates quite successfully for about 2 years. As I was approaching 30, I started to want more than just a pretty hole to stick my dick in, I wanted a partner, someone whom I respected, someone worthy of bearing my children. I continued dating, but started vetting women much more critically. Five years ago, I found my wife. She checked all the right boxes and showed no red flags. I have no delusions about her being a unicorn (AWALT is gospel), but she is a keeper. Last year, I "married" her (not legally, just ceremonially) and now she is pregnant. I was extremely happy and excited about the idea of starting a family until I found out that we are expecting a daughter.

Body: Finding out that we are expecting a daughter felt like a kick in the nuts. All my dreams of raising a son in my image are crushed. Of course the fact that the baby is healthy is the most important thing, but I can't help but feel utterly dejected. Never, since I discovered TRP have I participated in any of these subreddits, but now I don't know who else to share this with. How can I change my perspective? How can I not feel that a daughter is less than a son? How do I raise her? Do I raise her as a tomboy or do I raise her to embrace her femininity? I'm sorry for the rambling, my frame has not been shaken like this in a long time. I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have on this topic or any books you could recommend on raising a daughter from a RedPill perspective.
