Im reading WISNIFG for a second time. I just got to the part about the critique. When being called names and other disrespectful things he says to use fogging.

You're hopeless

"You may be right"

Your hair looks dirty

"It does doesn't it."

Etc.

  1. Is this really the best route in this situation? Isn't this considered self deprecating? And make you come off as weak?

  2. Should this method be used on women if they are saying these things to you?

  3. Isn't it better to stand up for yourself? when isn't it?

I have a friend who was asking what to do about a female coworker who was been disrespectful to him. He was giving a presentation and she said something disrespectful to him in front of everyone. I told him to fog but he said fuck that I'm not going to let her speak to me like that. Especially in front of people. I put her in her place.

Now my first thought was. EGO

But then it make me wonder when is it best to stand up for yourself vs using fogging?
