I was naturally doing well for myself in high school, and even bits of freshman year of college.
What killed my confidence was when I started college at 17, I went through terrible times at the bars and dance floor.
Even though I was used to cruising with my good looks, I was get extremely swerved by girls, no looks, was intimidated by those chads yelling and crushing drinks, couldn’t even imagine just going up to a girl and grinding on her without some sort of eye contact, even going for a drink made me feel inferior since I’d be scared instagram sloot bartender wouldn’t pay me any attention at the counter .
Periodically I’ve gone to clubs again, little more fun, but still same dynamic. I’ll go up to a girl, chat and then run out of things to say and CONSTANTLY go take trips to the bathroom.
Best way to explain it is I act and feel awkward.
I am now fairly jacked, 6’0, 208lbs around 16% body fat. Still know I need to lift more but that’s where I stand.
after finishing rational male I realize a lot of what I tell myself are just excuses due to fear of rejection. But regret is more than rejection.
I understand the terms prize mentality, abundance, outcome independence... but what does that actually look in practice, especially at a college bar?
