Here's a bunch of studies providing ample evidence to common Red Pill claims. Can't have a debate without evidence!

Thanks for requesting this.
I had always thought it was strange that certain girls in college would think something is "creepy or pervy" from their uncool/unattractive friend but if an attractive guy did it, it was "cute" or "funny".

Interesting. Let's avoid making these request threads a trend though. Full-text link: http://journals.sagepub.com/doi/abs/10.1177/1948550615584196 (probably paywalled -- idk, I can't access the site right now for whatever reason).

"Resisting connection following social exclusion: Rejection by an attractive suitor provokes derogation of an unattractive suitor"-- Geoff Macdonald et al 2015

Adding to my to-read list.

Why should we avoid making request threads? Seemed productive in this case.

Yeh the actual article in this case is rather amusing... Certainly a good find.

I'd rather encourage people to do their own google scholar or pubmed searches, then share their findings. Even the originally linked daily mail write-up was perhaps the lowest quality science journalism I've ever seen. They mentioned the journal and random specific details about the study, but never linked or even mention the name of the actual study, nor did they mention any of its authors (to my frustration since I had to scour the internet to find the study they were referring to).

Perhaps this is a personal bias, but it also makes this sub seem insincere about being purely about the science when there are threads asking, "Find me a study to support my point of view." While I'm sympathetic to those who were blackpilled by personal experiences and seek scientific confirmation of their suspicions, I was blackpilled by the mainstream science on these topics and didn't intend for this sub to be a low-effort propaganda machine. You don't see request threads on r/science.

Nevertheless, an occasional request is fine, but I can easily see that spiraling down a slippery slope of nothing but unanswered requests. Idk, maybe I'll open up the flair system and do a trial of a request flair or something. Or automod a weekly "chat and request" thread

Perhaps this is a personal bias, but it also makes this sub seem insincere about being purely about the science when there are threads asking, "Find me a study to support my point of view."

Since there is no such thing as a black pill science department, the best we can do is gather evidence for and especially against particular black pill assumptions. Making specific requests can be a way of accomplishing this.

Someone who is less lazy than me should remake this post but only with the results it would be good to archive on heree
