Disclaimer: Everything stated below is my own opinion and should be viewed as such

In the interests of “Red Pill Theory Weekend”, I’m pitching one of my own theories for why feminism exists and why “it is the way it is” BUT Why this sub gets so much resistance. Why we have white knights, AFCs, feminists and why we also have the red pill.

In regards to “is this post red pill”? Well it’s not about gaming women or self-improvement but it’s about understanding human nature and seeing people for what they really are.

The theory backing this up is called “The spiral of silence”. (Further reading on the wiki here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spiral_of_silence)

To sum it up very quickly (copy/paste from the wiki): The spiral of silence is a political science and mass communication theory propounded by the German political scientist Elisabeth Noelle-Neumann. Spiral of silence theory describes the process by which one opinion becomes dominant as those who perceive their opinion to be in the minority do not speak up because society threatens individuals with fear of isolation. *The assessment of one's social environment may not always correlate with reality*.

I think that pretty much nails most of what I’m talking about. There is a reason why we are all anonymous here and why “we don’t discuss fight club”. While you may not have a fear of isolation if you work in a high profile/public workspace the threat of disagreeing with the public opinion has dire consequences on your career as seen here.

Direct your attention to the last sentence of that copy/paste and you'll understand why AFCs exist.

Interesting to note as well, conditions for the spiral to occur: Three necessary conditions There are three necessary conditions for when the spiral of silence can occur. • The issue must have a moral component to it • There is a time factor or dynamic aspect of public opinion • There is ubiquitous and consonant mass media coverage

Take a moment to process that and think about all the non-TRP crap you’ve been exposed to for a while and how its driving feminism.

Illimitablemen.com gives a very good comparison to modern feminism and old religion. Which can be found here

I agree with what he states on this absolutely, about old religions offering a “set of by-laws” or tenets by which to live a fulfilling life. Feminism does the same thing but it’s simply one sided in favour of women. So how does all this relate to crap like white knights?

Well take a look at some religious uprisings of the past. It’s often the populace of that religious group that are the driving force against anyone who disagrees. Not necessarily the religious leaders. There is power in being an outspoken advocate for the public opinion and that simply is public approval. We rip them off saying they can’t laid etc, it’s simply a form of attempting to get approval and validation.

So how does this create TRP? Well in every dominant opinion there are people who disagree but are unable to voice their opinion. This gives rise to secret societies where people look for other like-minded people. If you need examples of these you can look at the groups who plotted against Hitler or Napoleon, they existed but couldn’t voice their opinions. So harbour a romantic notion for a little bit of heavily cloaked people meeting in a basement to plot overthrowing a kingdom.

Now, every time you attempt to unplug a chump, keep in mind what you are attempting to do is alter a public opinion. We have our tenants here as well such as “self-improvement, get what YOU want, see the world for what it is” but it’s no different from feminists preaching “equality, fairness for all”. Unplugging a chump is hard work simply because the dominant opinion and fantasy is simply nicer to believe in than viewing the truth BUT more importantly, the threat of isolation is real and binding. Unplugging takes balls because your chump friend has to realize he’s losing a lot of public approval and needs to keep his mouth shut.

Anyway, comments/debates below are always welcome.

TLDR: Feminism is the dominant opinion and their behavior can be explained by the spiral of silence theory.
