Ladies,
Forgive me if I am breaking the rules by posting here as a man, I checked the community rules and didn't find one barring me from participating. I guess I'll find out if this gets removed or not.
I am a 29 year old man and I've been a student of the red pill for a while. I contribute to RP discussions and frequent r/purplepilldebate, and these activities have led me to RPW, where I often lurk and skim the comments. Why? I guess your mindsets give me some form of hope.
I'm making this post in an attempt to open up a conversation with you women who, in my perspective, "get it". You have no idea how refreshing it is to read some of the posts here.
As a man in the US today, to see a conservative space for women who don't think "following" a man is fucking demeaning, if he deserves to be followed, is a serious breath of fresh air. I think about videos I've watched on YouTube of a man being shamed and laughed at for the mere suggestion that he doesn't want his wife to work, should his income be enough to support them. The absolute chastising I would receive for saying I feel this way in some circles on the web and in real life is an exercise in patience on my part. I stick to my guns and stand by my beliefs, but it seems those who find this acceptable are few and far between. It is immediately ostracizing and somehow, offensive to a LOT of women. Sometimes, I start to lose hope that any of you actually exist.
I was out to dinner with my Mother and Grandmother last night and there was this beautiful little baby boy in the booth next to us and we all had this fun little interaction of saying hello and making faces and in that very moment all of my "never get married, kids are an option" stances came crashing down. I looked into that kids eyes and felt extreme sadness and happiness all at the same time. In that moment, I loved that little fucker.
The truth is, I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED A PARTNER, A FAMILY, AND CHILDREN.
I realize (and I have spoken about this on the RP sub) that I have been using RP techniques as a kind of barrier to failure, as it were. Using them as a convincing "alternative" to the life that I truly want. I've always wanted to be a father, but I would never, under any circumstances, raise a child without his mother. I firmly believe a two parent household is absolutely necessary for good development. Why? Because I myself am the product of a run away dad at 14, which sent me down a spiral of depression and criminality I didn't fully grasp until my early twenties, when I finally turned it around as I came to understand life a bit better.
These days, as I branch out into my community in a positive way, pursue higher education, career advancement, philanthropic, and fitness goals simultaneously, taking charge of my life, seeking out the mentors I need and being a man, the path that is opening up before me is wide and beautiful. I am entering the next phase of my life where responsibility becomes less of a burden, financial and professional goals become realities instead of pipe dreams, and my quest for self improvement begins to bear fruit.
I am not ready for children or marriage just yet. As a man, I know I have time. Time to build the pillars of my life that will support the mother and those children for the rest of mine, and that is all well and good... but here comes the problem.
The current state of marriage laws in the US, divorce statistics, alimony payments, and overall general lack of traditional femininity in women that I see all around me has me running absolutely terrified.
I have asked this question in the RP sub, and there are very few actual answers. It would seem that the RP comes to a full stop on how to answer the children question. How does a RP man who knows the risks and sees the inequity in divorces go willingly into the breach for the sake of children? How does a man vet a partner for how she may feel 20 years down the road, and how does he do this in the current feminist, anti white male landscape he exists in?
Fuck, its hard. I want to be a husband, and a father. I've always wanted the chance to prove to the universe that I would be a better example then my father was. (We've since reconnected, and the healing has been completed) I know I can, but how do I do it, knowing full well the odds of success are not in my favor? That I could support my wife financially, spiritually, for years, to have the nanny state take all of my accomplishments in an instant if she decides shes done, and what would this do to my children?
Thanks for taking the time to read, hope this doesn't get removed. Again, your posts do lend hope to those of us who have always wanted families, it's just hard to see you through the crowd.
