I was at the student's center of my college. Some girl walked by me and snapped a picture of me pretty obviously. I tried to get her attention but she didn't seem to notice because she had headphones in and was walking away. Girl next to me smiled a little.

Me: "Did you see that?"

Her: "Yeah. Maybe she didn't hear you."

Me: "No did you see her take the photo of me? She walked right by and took a picture."

Her eyes got wide and she said she didn't and that I should try to confront her. I said I didn't really care; she was probably taking a photo because I was vaping indoors.

Photo girl comes back our way and I got her attention.

Me: "hey, did you take a photo of me?"

Photo Girl: "Oh no! MY boyfriend is an engineer. I was taking a picture of the screen above you."

Me: "Oh, my bad. It just seemed kind of weird."

We laughed it off and she walked away.

Girl next to me said "Candid photo huh? Haha" I just smiled and agreed. Eventually I asked who she was waiting for, just trying to make conversation, and she said her boyfriend after stuttering around a little. I had to bounce anyway and didn't really care to bother her much so I bounced.

What would have been a good response to this? Will I get the boyfriend line less if I come in more low key rather than my usual (high) energy?
