Nah, if she gets mad it’s not fucked. You can practice your escalating by meeting strangers and asking out the hottest girls you meet. Expecting to get rejected should allow you the freedom to be bold. When it’s all said and done you might feel more acclimated to the girl you’re interested in, hereby slowing down and getting her interest. You gotta get physical in like five second or less. Think of the creepiest thing you could do and just see what happens. it might seem weird at first to try something new. I think you could say hi to her next, when she says hi back. Lean in and catch her eyes and lay one on her cheeck. She will respect you for being man.

There's a timeframe. Individual circumstances and personalities aside, there's always that timeframe. Escalate or die.

If you don't escalate within it, your chances of decline substantially. You may never get another chance. If you don't that's fine too, just learn your lesson.

First off you have to ask yourself what you conveyed so you understand where you and your interaction are coming from. Essentially you shamed her for trying to get more intimate and physical. Now I don't know this instance but this is what I think:

Her going for the first hug was "putting it on the line" and taking initiative. You just teased her escalation and she is most likely pissed off because you did not initiate physicality in the first two hangouts and sounds like she got a bit tired of waiting. A hug is meaningless but the backdrop with this girl is SET to potential love interest so this hug has a different connotation . She wants to get over the bullshit awkward hurdles so she can get to a true state of comfort and trust with you.

If you do meet her up again start testing the water and initiating more.

If you fuck up this bad you need to be a bit vulnerable to pull her back.

Tell her “hey I’m sorry I was rude earlier, I just get a little flustered with you coz I’m pretty attracted to you. Let me start over and let’s hang out again.”
