So, recently I've been having a lot of free time because all my other clubs and activities end during the spring. So I figured, why not play some sort of school sport? Spring's the one season I have nothing going on, so why not? Unfortunately, spring season has already started this year, so my plan's basically to practice this year, get good, and try out next year. Here's a list of spring sports offered at my school, with some pros and cons of each:

Baseball

Pros:

  • Good for smv since baseball is one of the most popular sports at school

Cons

  • Very, very hard to get into. The hardest team at school to get into, and cuts are brutal

  • Very hard to practice by yourself or without going to specific locations (batting cages)

Golf

Pros:

  • Being good at golf would be good for networking in the future

Cons

Cons

  • Not much of a smv boost

  • Golf equipment is expensive

  • Can't really practice unless at a golf course

Tennis

Pros

pros

  • Have some experience playing tennis

  • Relatively easy to get into, only a few cuts

  • Can practice by yourself without having to go to specific locations (like hitting a tennis ball against a wall)

Cons

  • No smv boost

  • Tennis is seen as a stereotypical Asian guy sport and I don't want to shoehorn myself into that stereotype any more than I already have

Track

Pros

pros

  • Ideal for practicing by yourself since you just go and run

Cons

  • You have to run multiple miles every day as workouts (it doesn't matter whether you're a sprinter or long-distance), so it might undermine lifting

Volleyball

Pros

pros

-???

Cons

cons

  • Again, can't really practice by myself or without being at a court

Water Polo

  • I have a pool at my house, so I'll be able to practice the swimming aspects of the sport as much as I want

  • Co-ed, so good for meeting with girls

Cons

cons

  • No experience whatsoever

  • Currently a mediocre swimmer

Based on this list, what's a good sport to take up?
