so heres my family story: my mom is an ex christian pastor and she told our family "god is telling me we need to move to [another state]". we move. 3 months in and she goes fucking a guy at her new work (yeah, ex christian pastor...). my dad finds out and he was obviously destroyed because he was faithful to her despite having a near sexless marriage (i think it last like 17 years). they treated each other like shit but he still did so many things for her. you know, provided for her and the whole family in a near sexless marriage. then he filed for divorce for good reason and my mom has been living with that other guy for the past 5 years.

well...heres the thing. that other guy makes like 30-40k per year. my dad makes over 110k. her entire excuse for tearing my family apart away from all our old friends and other family everything else is "I wasnt happy" as if that justifies anything. btw my parents are like 45. she also likes saying my dad treated her like shit but they both did.

furthermore, the other guy is even more abusive than my father ever was. he gets very drunk and threatens her and other fucked up shit. she cant wait to leave him soon. so she is in a FAR worse situation. most of the entire family hates her, shes broke, get got into a worse relationship, didnt get custody or any financial support, she makes like 30k if that...

so...this doesnt make any sense. RP and hypergamy says that a woman would cheat on a beta with an "alpha" if given the opportunity, but in this case she cheated on her beta with a beta making a fourth of his income. wtf???

the only possible explanation for this is that my mom is fucking stupid as fuck. but is there anything more to it than that? I already know shes dumb as fuck. but is there any deeper explanation for her behavior than that?
