Ive always heard the stereotype about women gossiping, but I never thought much about it until I experienced it myself at work.
One of my coworkers skipped over a task we had to do because it was “messy” and I confronted her about it. I later calmly made a small comment to my assistant manager in private hoping that she would correct the issue, and I went on about my day. My AM instead told my GM (who is another girl) about what happened. The coworker later approached me not 30 minutes later and asked if I was mad at her for what happened earlier because the GM, who I never spoke to, told her that I was.
My GM is honestly a huge gossip queen and she has done this before. I once complained to her that one of my coworkers (different one) was lazy, and the next day that coworker gives me the silent treatment the enitre shift.
I honestly dont understand why women love to gossip so much, especially if what I tell them is supposed to be confidential. Its almost therapeutic for them.
