Sam fucks Gilly.

Big deal, right? Huge. It strays from the books in a bad way, and it makes it so much more fucking obvious that Game of Thrones has been hijacked as a feminism-laced narrative.

Let me summarize the last episode: Sam puts himself out there for m'lady, gets his ass handed to him, Gilly nurses him back to health then fucks him. While she's fucking him, she literally asks him "am I hurting you?".

Holy shit can this be any more passive and blue pill reinforcing?

Let me make one thing clear; I'm not condoning the rape that was about to befall Gilly. I'm condemning the fucking massive blue-pill pat-on-the-back they're throwing into one of my favorite grim dark fantasies. That scene literally never happens in the books. She talks about being harassed but being the fucking WILDLING that she is, she handles herself.

You need to know that Sam fucks Gilly in the books. He does this after his mentor dies and he sacks the fuck up and does what he's meant to do.

Sam doesn't fuck Gilly until he grows up as a man. He doesn't fuck her until he's made it halfway around the world, on the way to progress and become a fucking maester (game of thrones professor), on his way to fulfill his responsibilities as the smartest man on the wall. In this version of the story, he fucks her after this bullshit white knight fantasy where he literally prevents rape. Blue reward as fuck.

The random rape they keep throwing in all over the place is like being in the mind of an SJW taking the subway when her car breaks down. Rape happens as often in the series as a woman gets looked at on the tram. It's bullshit, and it's the exact narrative that feminists use yet it's still promoting blue pill sentimentality.

Sansa doesn't get raped in the books, and Jaime doesn't rape his fucking sister on the corpse of their son. Two big rapes that were used as literal plot devices - a criticism of fantasy that's been around for fucking years.

They're using rape as a threat against women to create hype and create this irrational fear of men throughout the show like everyone's a fucking rapist. Awesome. Cool. Haven't heard that before (#YesAllMen)

If it weren't a connecting point with my Dad I'd drop the show all together. Honestly, I'm tired of the feminist narrative pervading the one last fucking place I can see masculinity portrayed positively under the radar; grim dark fucking fantasy.

tl;dr: the rape is exaggerated in Game of Thrones as a plot device instead of a consequence as it's used in the books, and Sam Tarly is rewarded for being a white knight in the most recent episode. If you haven't started watching Game of Thrones, spare yourself and read the books. A lot more effort went into them than the series.
