Over and over and over again, I read articles in /r/TRP about how men are overanalyzing their interactions with women and using "wooden" techniques like "holding frame" and "kino" and "overcoming shit tests."

The problem with all of this is that it hides the fact that you are not happy with yourself. A person who is genuinely happy with themselves is someone who is completely immune to shit tests and doesn't have to worry about holding frame because those things come naturally from a contented person.

Your number one focus - far above all else - should be reaching a state where you feel completely comfortable and happy in your own skin. You're proud of your successes. You're fine with whatever flaws you may have, and you own them.

The way to that conclusion isn't through being a pickup artist. It's through genuine self-improvement.

"BUT I NEEDS WOMMENS!" The second you feel that way, you cede a ton of power to the woman. You only have true power or control if it is truly of very little consequence to you if a woman walks away from you. You have to truly not care about it one way or another. If you have to learn a bunch of "techniques" about touching women constantly or "holding frame," you care too much. You might get lucky occasionally with that stuff, but those things are the mark of someone who "needs" women and is hoping to trick them, not the mark of someone who is genuinely beyond needing women.

The best thing you can do for yourself is pair up reading this subreddit with a ton of genuine self-improvement subreddits, like /r/selfimprovement and /r/fitness and /r/selflearning. Spend time exercising and take pride in who you are. Don't be ashamed of your personal interests and passions and don't hide them - be who you are and be the best at those things. Own them. Improve yourself physically and financially and mentally and everything else will follow.

If you have something to be proud of within yourself, then being an "alpha" comes naturally. So build something to be proud of within yourself and make that your focus. When you've built something good, you'll already be there and won't need these tricks.
