I believe there is an ingrained Hamster in all of us that will irk continuously throughout our lives.
I will deem this the Chaos Hamster.
This Hamster denies us from ever feeling content and satisfied and thirsts for "change" it up for no other reason than emotional disturbances below the surface.
Chaos Hamster isn't logical and it isn't strategic. It scurries around on a subconscious level and rear's it furry little head when you've hit some big milestones in your life.
Chaos Hamster is often responsible for some of the greatest and worst decisions in your life.
You win the lotto? Have a nice physique? Your the CEO of your own company? You own a Ferrari? Have a great LTR?
You may feel satisfied temporarily but it doesn't matter - the little Chaos Hamster will rear its head sabotaging you to 'change' it up.
Pro's of the Chaos Hamster
Con's of the Chaos Hamster
-
Chaos Hamster will want to sabotage objectively and strategically good roles or relationships you are in.
-
It will entice you to quit your great high paying job with good conditions just because Chaos Hamster got bored.
-
When you're in a great relationship with a LTR who gives you unlimited sex and cooks for you - Chaos Hamster will show up whispering in your ear to go out and find some fake-tittied sluts to fuck.
This post isn't encouraging anyone to live in a fear mindset - more the opposite - its to objectively analyse what your Chaos Hamster is thirsting for (is it a productive/beneficial/strategic thirst?) or is it a negative thirst - and then its up to you to either run with the emotional energy Chaos Hamster is providing you with, or to strategically tranquilize Chaos Hamster as he's being an idiot.
Most people are probably slaves to Chaos Hamster without knowing it - but in TRP we should have the knowledge to tame it like a little pokemon.
So, as a rationale man trying to delve deeper into our ancient reptilian minds - my question is - is there a way to tame and capture the Chaos Hamster so it doesn't sabotage long-term strategic plays?
Solutions I've come up with:
-
Negative visualizations - visually imaging scenarios where you 'lose' what ever you take for granted (i.e. a great high paying job or healthy LTR).
-
Consciously altering own perception of what ever Chaos Hamster is thirsting for - e.g. if Chaos Hamster is thirsting for me to bang club-slut - consciously depicting club slut in a negative light with STDs, bad breath, no brain and self-centered and these thoughts will slowly water its way down onto my subconscious level and Chaos Hamsters thirst will be weakened.
-
Daily meditations to assess/analyse my own thoughts and emotional state and to see if Chaos Hamster is up to anything.
-
I've heard getting into Stoicism is also good but i haven't looked into it much so far.
there doesn't seem to be anything here
