The thing that annoyed me about the comments on that post was that some people raised real concerns about the article, and the submitter responded with completely ridiculous and contradictory dismissals. I saw a lot of examples of very typical feminist arguing tactics. Making a claim and then saying the burden of proof is on the other person. Refusing to even acknowledge the relevancy of any criticism. Appeals to authority and claims that proof isn't necessary. She even argued that it was appropriate for the author to hide his data and for us to just trust him.

It was posted in truereddit, which went to shit a long time ago.

Of note in the article: "The manager’s gender isn’t a factor.

When I started, I was wondering whether the gender of the manager giving the review would affect the nature of the critical feedback in the review. It didn’t."

So in other words, men and women give the same criticisms to these female employees about being abrasive, yet somehow the ONLY conclusion we should draw is that those things are being written because of sexism. It couldn't be that the women really are abrasive.

Also this: "I don’t know whether women were simply more willing to submit reviews that include critical language, or whether men removed language from their review documents before submitting". Which makes all of this entirely useless. The employees had a chance to change their reviews before submitting this to her "study", yeah, so the men would remove negative shit they didn't want known and the women wouldn't bother because they know they get a "pussy pass".

TL:DR Just another example of feminism trying to get yet MORE privilege int he world.

In my 5 years of working as a software designer, I can count on two hands the number of female developers that were not in the bottom 20%.
