It goes to show how important the truth is, and how critical it is to observe how the world really works rather than what is told you.
The betas follow the script because they are obedient and believe the narrative that someday they will get their fair share if they keep their heads down and work hard and worship the altar of feminine values.
The alphas, whether by accident or by observation, figure out the real social rules. They figure out that the cops don't care that much about underage drinking. They find out that the girls love guys with muscles who drive fast cars and take risks.

Things really have not changed much. Beta serf 300 years ago was told he went to church every morning, then slaved away on lord alpha's farm and was a good little serf he would have this wonderful life.
And when someone wronged beta serf, he was told to turn the other cheek, because that is what made the invisible being in the sky happy.

That statement applies to virtually everything. Always observe and test, never assume. The times when I lost money where because I listened to an alleged expert.
Simple explanations appeal to the masses, unfortunately they are usually wrong. And they often confuse correlation with causation.
What most people can not grasp it is the combination of events that can amplify a situation for either good or bad. But each event by itself might be relatively harmless.
I used to believe that exposing people to knowledge could change their minds. But slowly I am cluing this is a waste of time and in some cases detrimental.
Attempting to help beta is stupid, the smart thing to do is to get beta to slave away for you. I am slowly attempting to eliminate this vestige of stupidity from myself.

Rock solid narrative, "conform, your time will come", and it rarely does. Or when it does come their lives are burdened so heavily that the usual Beta cannot even enjoy the fruits of all of that patience, of waiting at doors..

I cringed several times during that read actually seeing the face of the alpha that used to enrage me to my soul. Just seeing his face in my mind, and thinking about how bad I used to feel about myself before I understood what was going on. But it's such a wake up call. I could never go back to what I was. The person I have become because of this place and TRP in general has essentially saved a good portion of my decisions from being influenced by something I didn't completely understand.
