Well, he was a bit more subtle than that - simply that women like gay men, and that they will sense any gayness that you experience; sucking dick was just a story element. Presumably a shopping day with a gay friend to help you with your wardrobe might work just as well.

This was kind of explored in a recent season of Californication - an actor who won an academy award for playing a gay man. He was a method actor, so to get into the role, he cruised gay bars and sucked a lot of dick.

Keep in mind that the story is fiction.

I have some personal experience of this.

One of the most sexually prolific times in my life was after my parents died. I had to unplug their life support, and I was tormented by that.
