Think about it from another standpoint. You are a guy that pines for this gorgeous girl but she tells you that she loves you as a friend. So you hang in there till one day she realizes that you were here all this time and she finally gives you a chance to win her over and you get married. Or you find her after you studied and worked hard and now have a good income and this girl that never gave you the time of day in your twenties now is interested in marrying you.

So the Blue Pill actually works because being a decent nice guy garnered you results. You just had to wait for her to open her eyes and find out that those qualities you had were better then the jerks she use to date or that she had to experience life and have some fun before settling down.
