The problem is that if they aren't interested in you they have no stake in your success. So they use the moment to give advice that doesn't help you but makes them look good. It's not about helping you, it's about her image. So if she says, "just be nice blah blah" it looks like she is saying that is what she is attracted to. It makes her look good to everyone. She can pretend that she's a "nice girl" who dates "nice guys." Thus her status is elevated and you are left hopeless as ever. It was never about you.

Actually, you could ask a woman you want to date for advice, take CAREFUL NOTES and then do the opposite of what she says to bang her.

If you can reverse equations in your head, asking for advice might be the best idea ever.

I learned this as well. Women have no idea what they want, so why bother asking them? Women say "listen to women", then they tell you what to do, and that advice never works. Therefor, never listen to a woman's advice. "Is that what your boyfriend did to get you?" "No, but I'm different". Honey, no you're not fucking different.

It has been many years since I took advice from a woman, about women, but I have one friend girl who has a guy friend (clear beta orbiter, her "best friend", hasn't been laid in years). The three of us were out for drinks, and he was taking dating advice from her. For some background, the dude is a bonafide pilot who hasn't seen the inside of a girls pants in years. She tells him to not play up his pilot cred, but to just be a "nice guy" to girls. She went off to get a drink (surprised he didn't go get it for her), and I told him, point blank, "do not listen to that advice". He got all butthurt; he is so blue-pill beta that he likely will never get some again.

If I were pilot-dude, I would land my multi-million dollar corporate aircraft, and find a cabbie. It doesn't matter if I live there or not. Get said cabbie to take me to the closest bar, with my uniform and pilot luggage dolly. Belly up the the bar, have a drink, and talk to the closest cutie. "It was a hell of a flight... <insert some legit sounding jargon that sounds badass>". Take slut home. Rinse, repeat.
