I'm pretty tall, and I definitely find it helps me with the girls. To the point where women will out and out mention that they like me cause I am so tall.

To be honest, I am pretty lucky, cause I don't have much else going for me, but being someone who goes to the gym a lot and is 6'4 it definitely helps.

I am not trying to gloat either, but it must suck to be short. I really feel bad for them. It is definitely a factor though.

That being said, if you are not very tall, don't give up. SMV is a collection of traits, rather than an all or nothing type of thing. The more things you can add to your SMV basket (height, good body confidence, money, fame, social status, etc), the higher your value. If you can't add tallness to it, just work on adding things to it you can add. You will be able to more than compensate for it. Plus we all know what women say they want and what they actually want are night and day, so take these figures with a spade of salt.

I'm 5'8" and I can say it was an uphill climb for me but I got where I wanted eventually.
