Look dude, most men are beta. Hell, most men are beta in any given situation. Alpha is not a constant. We are not in freshman engineering courses.

Alpha and beta are sexual designations. Think about a wolf or lion. He may be kicked out of one pack, or another, or another, and then eventually he finds one where he can take over. Human interaction is the same thing. It's not about being alpha FOREVER, it's about being alpha when you can be, and not being beta as much as you can.

I work with several ex D1, and have two current D1 football players as interns. I'm as fit as I can be. I have no worries that I would fuck them up in a fight. I give no shits about physicality when dealing with competitors. Physically and mentally I have no problems picking up women when they're around.

I work for a start up, and do some work on the side, as well as starting my own business. I'm comfortable with my life. I'm very happy with my current girl. Put me in a room with some million dollar entrepreneurs, and I can become very quickly beta. I don't have what they have. I want it, but I don't have it. I'm working towards it, but just like anything, your own thoughts can be your worst enemy.

Alpha and beta aren't static. Alpha is not about being a super badass all the time. It's about constant improvement, constant introspection, and constantly going for what you want. If you can't constantly go for what you want [even if you fail, let's remember Edison,] then you are beta to the core.

This is where men are different than women. Here you see an overwhelming number of women talking about how the man needs to change. What's that old chestnut about there being relationship subs here for "women who are talking about what men need to do to improve themselves and ones for men who are talking about what men need to do to improve themselves"? Unless it is directly framed for them, modern westernized women don't think introspectively about themselves and their part of the relationship as men do. Modern westernized women naturally introspect in the "Eat. Pray. Love.... I need to go to exotic countries eat ice cream and fuck foreign guys" way. They introspect, and every time they come to the same conclusions: they need more. More fun. More strange. More adventure. More stimulation.

In these failed relationships as with essentially all relationships, you as the man must move up or you will be made to move out. It reminds us to never forget that women don't have your back, they have theirs.

Although I don't agree that it is ok for a woman to stay at home and do nothing all day while being provided for by the man, I do have to say that it is more common and tolerated by our society.

Primarily because it's acceptable for a woman to be a stay at home mom without any repercussion from society, while guys who stay at home are basically worthless bums.

That being said, any man who wants to take control of his life should not be needing to be provided for by a woman, he should be able to do so on his own. Although it is graciously accepted and thanked when women buys stuff for me.

What do you guys think about women buying men dinners and gifts and paying for almost everything when they go out?
