I hate that whenever we see some woman in the news doing something terrible - like making up rape threats - she's characterized as sick or mentally ill. As if no sane woman could be guilty of anything.

I see it every time there's a female criminal in the news. They cannot fathom a woman doing something devious, they must pathologize it.
