My favorite post there so far:

I forget who said it, but "Women are sex objects, men are success objects." Women get tingles for men of high status the same way men get turned on by women of high physical attractiveness. Yes I understand women like good looking men, but that's not the point. Men's valuation of looks is far higher than women's valuation of looks, as we all already know.

Women want men who are more successful than them. Now, if you've got enough value in other categories to make up for your lack of success, you can still pull it off. For instance, being a male model will probably make up for your lack of intelligence. Being rich can make up for your relative ugliness. Being funny and good looking can make up for being rich, and so on and so forth.

But if you're dating a woman more successful than you, it's going to be an uphill battle taming her hypergamy.
