I met a girl yesterday in which I kicked it off well with everyone who sat at our table (There was a lot of banter, I had them laughing and asking me questions, etc.).

Today, I got her number in which we also had a good banter-filled conversation, but this time we were alone for a bit until the rest of her friends and one of mine came along a bit later. At one point, I teased her about playing the Sims (she doesn't but one of her friends does) in which she said that she doesn't and her friends all agreed, as they all laughed. I kept ignoring her when she would say that she didn't play the sims, telling her that she does in which she would keep refuting me.

My question is, why does she care so much? Can this be chalked up to validation seeking?
