I had a roommate. He was clearly the alpha of his guys. He was 6ft 4 and at least 230 pounds. I'm 5'9.

Anyway, we've been having problems because little things have built up to cause tension.
I remember coming back home after partying at 5AM on a Friday night and going to my room. He has 4 of his buddies in his room drinking beer and blasting music on full blast.

I couldn't sleep so I told them to turn it down. This was like the 3rd time I've asked them.

My roommate goes

"Nah fuck that, matter of fact turn the music all the way up"

I said "Dude, wtf is your problem? You getting real petty?
Roommate "Petty? Yo am I getting petty over here?" To which his buddies aka his followers say no!

And I said "Man, shut up"
And that's when he started getting aggressive. He starting walking up to me and said 'what the fuck did you just say?"

I actually punked out at that time because it was so unexpected. I cameback from having such a good time only to comeback to this type of shit.

The next day, I have my music up and he comes to my room and asks to turn down the music cause he can't fucking sleep and I did just that.

This was YEARS ago but I still remember this.

I remember thinking man if I got into a fight with this dude, all of his buddies would surely jump in.

And I've been in type of scenarios multiple times where I'm faced against a group of dudes.

How should I handle this?
