I basically like the concept of 'work hard play hard', meaning I'm in favour of putting in the time necessary for school in order to get a degree, while also focusing on other things that are more meaningful like developing a useful skill, lifting, keeping in touch with certain trends so that you could increase your SMV (I guess that's the term?) in the real world which will help with the degree (just a pre-requisite that's meaningless on its own).

Basically like becoming the best version you can possibly become, so that you would be the type of guy who, lets say works in Finance rocking a sharp suit, style and grooming on point, has the drive to pursue different endeavours and network with people etc etc. but also be at places on the weekend and have a life, and not just be the guy who's sitting behind his desk crunching numbers with the same degree.

I know this might not be thee realistic case for most people early on in their career, but at least having that mentality and working towards it.

But the thing is I notice my college is really the opposite. Like most are talking about memes, video games (that was more the case in 1st and 2nd years), SJW stuff, basically everything that's 'beta' if that's what people call it.. I'm totally against the beta/alpha stuff but just saying it for reference. I believe one should not obsess over that but just do what they like and what a sane ambitious/fun person would do and it would automatically make them valuable.

So I just got frustrated basically meeting everyone like that, whereas I thought I would be able to find a group of people who I could be close with and build together, but I end up just not being active in college at all apart from going to class, doing what I gotta do, and leave. I barely even have time to do other stuff in my free time as I focus on lifting mostly apart from school work. I did manage to meet a few people outside of college but then again it wasn't anything close of a relationship that sort of just subsided with several different groups
