I’m a woman who grew up super liberal and feminist. Now I’m mom to a little boy and my perspective has changed ALOT. Mostly I hope he grows up and be happy and have some emotional strength to pull him through hard times. and I don’t think he will if he’s taught everything I was. I dont want him to be a doormat :( So I thought I’d ask you guys if you could unlearn anything you were taught growing up what would it be?? Could your mom have acted or done anything to make you grow up in a better way? I don’t even know if my question makes sense or if people here would say anything helpful or if this is really stupid and just inviting people trolling me (that’s why dummy acct). I just feel like a lot of raising boys right now seems like I’m expected to discipline the “boy” out of him and it feels really wrong
