What is the best way to go about ending an LTR? How do you behave if you still see her around frequently without looking butthurt when trying to move on?

I've come to a point in the relationship where I feel the need to move on on my own, and even though the girl is wife material in many aspects, I feel I would be lying to myself if I said this is what I truly want for myself at this moment.

I would like to hear advice from those of you who had gone through a similar thing in the past, because me and my LTR both live in a small town and work very close to eachother, so I'm not sure how to move on while being prepared to see her on a frequent basis due to logistic issues.
