The vast majority of instances of oneitis, outside of the hyperbolic stories you read on the internet, stem from poor social circle game. The guy wants to get with the girl when the group first forms, and he fails to make his move. As interactions continue, he eventually decides to try to make a move. Incidentally, this move happens to be poor because he's not a calibrated guy. Denied about 87 percent of the time.

The fundamental problem with this strategy is the average female is leagues above the poorly calibrated dude's social skills, so she probably knows that the dude likes her months before he makes his move. This isn't meant to be confused with spiritual woo-woo, it's just females tend to socialize more so they have a better idea of what's going on.

But if you give the person in question imperfect information from the start, the intent isn't as apparent. If you're naturally kinoing people, (practice is key here) and push pulling all these girls, then they just assume you're always like this. Which honestly has to be pretty hot for her because she enjoys the game before the lay.

Of course, you should just be like this naturally towards any girl you want to bang. You just need to develop that type of personality where that's just how you are around girls.
