I (18) never wanted to go to college, ever. I’ve been obsessed with entrepreneurship since I was a sophomore in HS. I just went because it was important to my family that I go.
Unless I really love something, I can’t do it. It’s always applied in school, sports, etc.
They don’t know it but I’m already failing every class, on academic probation, and have been drunk 8 out of my 11 nights here.
The only good thing about coming here is that I’m a server at a cool restaurant and I love it.
I’m pretty far away from home. But my friend’s business has started to take off. I gave him $100 to start and he made $2,000 last month and that was his 2nd month in business (he’s in the clothing industry). He knows my passion for business as well and has offered me a job as well when I come back home in December.
My dilemma is how do I talk to my family members about this? I obviously want to work with my friend, and I’m never going to be able to become the best version of myself on a college campus. But it’s important to my entire family that I get a college education
