A woman I know hit me up and asked me out. She'd knew of my background career-wise and asked a few probing questions via text. She expressed romantic interest explicitly but had reservations given I'm pretty religious and she is not.

I said let's do this conversation over drinks and locked in the weekend.

She's cute but I have better-looking plates at the moment. I felt it was overwhelming platonic, I had two plates and for some reason I was just enjoying the conversation without wanting to fuck her; she's a good conversationalist.

Afterwards I texted and said, I'd like to catch up but I didn't feel much of a spark. She agreed and suggested we catch up, even as friends.

I'm not one for friends with women but I discovered she's from a rather established family (like goes back to 600's) and pretty established even if she herself isn't too high status.

What's the best way to generate interest? Continue little contact and see if she hits up, if not, meh and chalk it up as a lesson learned, always escalate.
