My parents have been emotionally and physically abusive my entire life. Beating the shit out of me with weapons etc. I’m 21 and can’t speak to them without bursting out in tears.

Today I took all of my things went to a friends place without saying goodbye. If I stay at my families home I will end up killing myself or they will kill me. I’ve blocked them on everything and they have no way to contact me or find me now and I need it to stay this way.

My friend said I can stay here completely rent free for 2 months in the spare room until the other tenet moves in. I’m 21, just graduated from uni with a shitty degree and unemployed.

I’m going to kick life’s ass. The main thing I have going for me is that I’m jacked and very social so I breeze through interviews and networking etc.

I have an interview for a shitty part time job tomorrow that I’m going to try to get while trying to find a stable full time job.

I would love some advice from guys who have been through this shit. I’ve become an adult today and I wasn’t prepared for this.
