if she is gaining weight it is because you have communicated/subcommunicated that it won't negatively affect your perception of her or she doesn't want to please you as much anymore. Read a great piece back in the day about how girls want to shape themselves to be fit the frame you set for them when they're invested in you.

For instance I was flirting with a girl and I really enjoy playing tennis. Now I don't have a requirement that the girl likes tennis but I'd like her to be, at least, somewhat into sports so that the idea is open to her. I'll say things like "I started noticing after I started playing tennis that the people I meet who are extremely fun to chill with usually play some kind of sport." and if the girl is into you, even slightly, she'll jump at the opportunity to be seen positively "Oh I used to play varsity volleyball." or "I've always wanted to play tennis it looks fun."

This is the time where she’s meant to be in the best shape of her life.

NO girl wants to get married fatter than when they were engaged.

If she’s putting on weight now and it’s not due to other factors eg medications, depression (you shouldn’t be marrying a depressed person anyway- that’s a Pandora’s box) or anything that’s temporary, think about what she will be like DURING/AFTER the marriage.

By then, even if you wanted to divorce her, you would lose so much.

Not everthing is a confrotation or telling. Just lead her. Change your diet and her's if she follows continue this path. If she doesn't, get a new girl. Not all relationships are forever. I've left women that felt no need to change. So they're still where I left them. Overweight with smaller unaccompished men. Living a life that I wouldn't want.
