This isn't related to women in any way. But I want to hear your perspective on loyalty. Whom should you be loyal to? Should you be loyal to everyone? Should self preservation be a first goal? I could be a narcissist, but I would still do anything for people I love. They are a selected few. And they've been there for me in my worst times. I ask this question because I am in an extremely weird situation. We had a university test. Now as everything is on zoom, a friend asked me if I could help him first, then give my test. I agreed. Ofc I knew the questions beforehand because of this. The cheating only made about 5% difference. Anyway, I cheated. I am 100% at fault for this. After that, the professor contacted me because I gave my test in like 15 mins. Ofc he knew I cheated. What he didn't know was the whole story. He told me that he would report me to the department chair, and ask him to expell me. It would be like the word of the professor against mine. He provided me an option to tell him the entire story and he would just give me a 0. He knew that I somehow got the questions, he didn't know who gave it to me. I thought that the most damage that would be done by this was that we both got a zero. The other option seemed quite unreasonable to me. I told the professor what happened. He gave us both a zero. I didn't just act out of self preservation. I feel like this was a rational decision. It might have been possible that the department chair might have done nothing, but it's also possible that shit would've blown. The zero is far less severe. And the guy that cheated with me isn't even a person who would call me after we're done with university. This is my concept of loyalty. For earning my loyalty, someone has to prove their worth to me. Why should I be loyal to everyone I am "friend" with! I know many of you would disagree with me, but this is my view. Point out what you guys think about this, and what you might have done in this situation.
