This stuff is real. In the army, you could try to set up a great deal by going directly to a manufacturer saving you and the taxpayer some money.

However, with current policies, you have to get your supplies from a business run by an oppressed entity. They could be a reseller of the company you tried to make the direct deal with and charge you an obscene markup, but you are required to do business with them...

Yep. I used to work in science and there were always grant programmes open to women only. They could still apply for the regular ones, of course. Even given that they still complained that they were disadvantaged. The truth is they were all lazy and not prepared to put in anywhere near the same effort as their male counterparts. Any project with a woman involved had at least one man doing the real work. They are in fact disproportionately highly rewarded for their mediocre work.
