Let me preface by saying that I’m not referring to the red pill ideas about female nature etc.
I’m talking about the advice given to men in order for them to get into the “top 20% percent”
A lot of the advice is useless. Let me explain.
The SMP, like most market places, are hierarchical. The ability of a person to move up the hierarchy depends on a lot more external factors then internal.
Like the economic market place, where you were born into and your genetic makeup plays a huge factor. More than I think most people would care to admit.
For every bill gates, or mark zuckerberg, there are thousands of failed, anonymous men who didn’t make it and work as low level programmers.
This idea of “just lift bro” or “change your style, don’t be a sperg, be aloof” are just empty platitudes
The hierarchy exists bc that’s how markets work! You have to have a small minority at the top and the rest fill out the bottom, or the market will collapse.
A man who’s 5’5” with poor facial bone structure can’t simply lift weights to get more handsome. He can’t simply buy expensive stylish clothes, and reprogram himself to be suave.
A guy who’s 6’2” with good bone structure will almost always do better in the marketplace then the 5’5” shredded guy
The difference is that if the 6’2” guy put in half the effort the 5’5” guy then he’d propel himself up to the 5% of men
The point I’m making that most people’s success in anything is predominantly when/where they are born, who they know, and genetics. The foundation for them was there before they were born and minimal effort on their part is sufficient
A guy who’s born poor, shirt, ugly and a little deformed can’t simply “looksmaxx, or statusmaxx” himself into the 20%
He never had the foundation so any hard work gets negated by his external life factors
