I want to start out by saying that I honestly am not a fan of trp theory myself, particularly because I never saw much justification for any anger some of you may show towards women.

That being said - I was in the car with a friend who loves Taylor Swift, and decided to put me through listening to her newest cd, and I was pretty disgusted by the lyrics in blank space, which iterate the exact reasons why you guys follow trp theory.

Examples of snippets that put a bad taste in my mouth :

Got a long list of ex-lovers

They'll tell you I'm insane

'Cause you know I love the players

And you love the game

Screaming, crying, perfect storms

I can make all the tables turn

Rose garden filled with thorns

Keep you second guessing like

"Oh my God, who is she?"

I get drunk on jealousy

But you'll come back each time you leave

'Cause, darling, I'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream

\^I think this is a terrible way to treat and expect to treat anyone, and reflects a poor character (romanticizing throwing fits, essentially, and being proud of tricking love interests into a "rose garden filled with thorns").

And, the icing on the cake - the lyric that pisses me off the most:

Boys only want love if it's torture

Don't say I didn't say, I didn't warn ya

Yeah, the thought of looking to put your love interests through hell is so backwards to me that I don't even know what to say.

So, despite my general lack of agreement with trp, if this is how you guys get treated regularly, that's bullshit and a shame that someone who so many girls seem to love is creating songs with these kinds of lyrics, which support unhealthy relationships. You don't need (or rather, probably don't want) my apology, but I'm sorry if/that any girls put any of you all through this kind of thing, because I think (from what I've seen in this sub) these kinds of experiences may to be why some of you have such a dislike towards and bad experiences with women.
