So i recently discovered this sub, but by then it was too late. Me and my ex had been going out for a few months - not long, but it was my first official relationship (i'm 17 now, used to be fat/unattractive). Back then i was shy and not very confident in myself. The only reason we went out in the first place is because she approached me, she was 5 years older than me and a lot more experienced. It started off well as we both had a lot of interest in each other, me especially as she was my first.
However, things got worse for me as time went on - i was still showing as much interest in her, but it seemed like she was losing interest. I couldn't understand what was going on, i gave her more than enough attention, and she would barely message me back on facebook. We rarely saw each other because she was always busy with something else, this only made me more clingy. I knew she had a lot of 'guy friends' and she knew i didn't speak to many girls so i think she figured she had power over me. She would hang out one-on-one with guys i'd never heard of till late hours while ignoring me, and when i expressed any sort of concern, she would blame me for it because 'i didn't trust her'. How could i trust her though? All these 'guy friends' were like puppy dogs to her, and even though she wasn't really interested in them, she would keep them there just so i knew i was easily replaceable. We had arguments regarding things like this a few times, and everytime i was the one that ended up apologising and begging for her back, like a pathetic idiot.
I didn't want to lose her but i didn't want her having full control over the relationship. I was miserable. This is when i took the red pill. I realised all my mistakes and how i could potentially fix things for myself. The night before valentines day i asked her if she was still interested in me. I didn't get her response till the next morning, when she ignored my question and wished me a happy valentines day. I asked her to answer it to which she responded that she wasn't sure. I then told her that she'd better be sure because i'm not waisting my time anymore. She then told me that she couldn't really be bothered being in a relationship anymore. I took that as my que to leave and we haven't spoken since. It tells me that she didn't really care in the first place, so I feel like shit but i wont give her the pleasure in knowing that this time. Lesson learned: I will never let anyone treat me like that and play with my emotions again. I may have fucked this relationship up beyond repair but i have learned a lot.
sorry if this post was a bit long, boring, stupid ect. I just needed to get this off my chest and thought some people here might enjoy reading it.
