I’ve been in a little funk these past few months and I can’t seem to figure out what it is. I’ve always followed the approach of being friendly to everyone until they do something that makes me change that. Now I’m not going out of my way to be friendly but I’m kind.
The main example is whenever I try to join a conversation or to be more social, I’m treated with indifference. Like whatever I say doesn’t matter. When this happens, I get into the mindset of “fine! I just want say anything now. Speak when I want and talk very little when asked questions.”
Is this the right mindset to have? Again I don’t want to be rude or mean but obviously being kind and more social doesn’t work for some people.
