All women hate themselves. All of them. No matter how hot they are, they all think they are ugly. That's one of the reasons they like it when you treat them badly.

OP: One line I like to use, and don't do this on chicks unless they are actually hot, is to call them fat. No man has probably every called them fat before, and if you hold frame over the freakout, you will be fucking.

So next time she goes "am I ugly?" say "No, youre actually kinda cute" (you need to say kinda, if you tell them they are cute it's not the right vibe). Then when they say "really?" or whatever, you go "yeah, but you are getting a little fat". Delivery is key, you need to say it with that jerkboy charm and smirk.

She will like it, and she will not ask you about if she looks ugly anymore, or rather when she does she will do it as a form of initiating sex.

If you HAVE to pay them a compliment, do it when you want and only because you want to. Not because girl is sad and you don't like girl sad. That's what her gay best friends are for.
