It seems to be okay that they promise something then change their mind because "they don't feel like it anymore" while men are deemed liars and dishonorable for the same. If you want take them on their word they come back with whining about how life is so hard for them like it's an obvious reason to break one's word. I think it has to do with girls being raised as princesses and they continue to behave like that as adults.
