(1) I just read a post with 5k likes on a social skills subreddit telling men to say "“Can I give you my number?” to girls, rather than getting their number. Literally, what the actual fuck. Do you know how insecure and unassertive that is? How could people not recognize this? I know the TRP handbook, but seeing it happen in real-time just shakes me to my core. And I see it everywhere on reddit. The thing is, insecure/shy/unassertive game works, but you give up self-respect and you end up taking the submissive and needy role. It's all bullshit. Like how can people not see this. It's right in front of them.

(2) I've started cold approaching to get out of my comfort zone. I've noticed that a lot of people are closed off and don't really like having their little reality bubble disturbed. If it's low risk they're kind, but high risk is mixed results (which is to be expected). But even if it's a good opportunity presented to them, it's like they want a sense of comfort in living inside the same routine boring pattern. You have to REALLY push. This social media age is a joke, honestly.

(3) I'm constantly seeing social wars going on and the direct impacts of them. Non-verbals, assertiveness, exchanges, validation etc. It's fucking overwhelming. And what drives me crazy is that it feels like most people aren't even trying to pay attention to it. So then I question the data in front of me. I feel like I can tell when someone is assertive and has boundaries and when someone isn't/doesn't. Everything around us is a tug-of-war of validation.

(4) I'm okay with not having many friends and social groups aren't for me. I gain no energy from them. I work on my social skills still, I just don't care for the end result. I hear all these people complaining about not having friends like incels do with their entitlement for relationships, and it's fucking disgusting to me. They put in zero work and expect that the world owes them shit. Yuck

(5) Another is people who have strong opinions on shit they didn't even research thoroughly because they didn't explore the other side. And when their argument is called out, it's like they're a fucking stubborn egotistical parrot that can't stop arguing just to pull people down and spread toxicity.

Like I want to be a positive person and love everyone and yadayadayada, but sometimes it's so fucking hard. Like when some unassertive dude is spreading knowledge to anxious and depressed people on how to be even more disrespected by advocating for neediness and committing to the first thing that accepts your advances, I just cringe internally. Their taking vulnerable fucking people and turning them into cannon fodder. And don't get me started on some women. I fucking swear man. It's like most people in society are going to pull you down unless you have a high BS detector, and don't just follow shit because most people agree with it and shun you for questioning it.
