for those of you who have own place, i feel like the best way to lift is to make a home gym, even if its just two dumbbells. i used to be a gym rat that went every day for two years. literally i would go on like new years day and curse and get pissed off that it closed early, my birthday, christmas, 4th of july if they were open. i would go all the time.

yet, in the last five months i have made more gains just by working out in my apartment than i did in those 2 years. you can push so much harder when its just you and the weights. it becomes almost a spiritual experience. yes, you should still hit the gym for those exercises that you can't do at home (otherwise neighbors might get hella mad when you drop barbells, especially if you are not on the first floor) plus its important to network with other guys into lifting, and hitting on chicks. many advantages. this would be done in addition to that.

i know you all already lift and are probably bigger than me, but i am proselytizing this solitary lifting strategy to everyone now. working out solo is a game changer.

if you are fully against eating processed food or vegan food, the post ends here. cheers.

you might consider buying huel if you are currently lean bulking or recomping. it is a nutritionally complete food, a powder you mix into water just like protein powder, except it contains every vitamin and mineral recommended by the food administrations in both the USA and the UK. get berry powder huel if you can, the rest of them suck. it is the love child of a top nutritionist and a body builder. its not super cheap at 10 dollars per 2000 calories, but its cheap enough, its got hella protein, everything you need to survive, and prepping food before weight lifting becomes entirely unnecessary. you can use it to replace meals for those off days you don't feel like cooking. use that extra time on your mission.

one thing about huel you should know is that this shit makes you fart like crazy if you haven't already been on a lean diet (high fiber, occasional probiotics, low gi/sugar). this can be avoided though frequent bathroom breaks, but if your job doesn't allow for this adjustment period, or if you have a nut allergy, huel may not be for you. i don't work for huel, although i post on their forums a lot, and i don't bother referring people because their referral program sucks and isn't as good as just buying in bulk.

for those weary of a food that is comprised entirely of ground up seeds and nuts and what effect it will have on their health, my health is better than ever. it makes me feel full. old reviews of huel mention that its gross, but its the vanilla flavor they are talking about. vanilla flavor is gross. berry flavor is more like a light berry aftertaste, mostly it tastes like berry flavored nothing. just a mild taste (unless you drink only huel for a while, then it tastes pretty good, i don't drink it for the taste, i drink it for the time it saves in my life). a recent blood test showed all my vitamin levels are within the healthy range, my blood pressure was literally 121/80 last time i went to the doc, and i feel great.

it is vegan, but for those worried about the protein quality, it isnt just pea protein. the protein is a combination of pea protein, oats, brown rice, flaxseed, and mct powder. these ingredients contain all nine essential amino acids (Histidine, Isoleucine, Leucine, Lysine, Methionine, Phenylalanine, Threonine, Tryptophan, Valine) from which all amino acids can be produced from your body.

I have gained an inch on my arms in the last six months at only a small 300 calorie surplus. for full disclosure, i am also taking creatine, rosemary extract (for the ursolic acid), lactic acid, and several supplements that keep your testosterone from dropping if you are deficient in them (magnesium, copper to absorb the magnesium, some others).

i am not a vegan. tomorrow i am going to eat a jimmy johns blt and i am looking forward to that shit immensely. i only eat huel when i am not with company (just like my drinking policy, outside of tonight...) the only reason i am recommending this product is that i have benefited hugely from the red pill community and this product has made body building so much easier than it used to be when i used to have to cook ground beef, eggs, and make tuna sandwiches all the time.

If you don't want to fuck with it, and think i'm being a lazy sack, i respect the hell out of that to. If i'm being objectively honest (which i am when i am drunk like now) i should probably learn to be even more disciplined and eat natural foods, but i've been either losing weight or gaining muscle for about a year and a half straight now. if anyone is completely exhausted, but still wants to press forward, maybe this advice will be of some use.
