Usually I’m fine with these things but since I have anxiety, I wanted an opinion. I know I’m probably over thinking it but here we go.
Fiancé and I just got engaged but haven’t told anyone yet. Before we met ( well over a year ago) he was briefly friends with this girl. He was kind of interested in her (because he’s a guy and she’s a semi attractive girl) but never said anything. She got married and they haven’t really spoken since before we started dating.
Suddenly she sends me a friend request. Hasn’t spoken to my fiancée in months. Has never liked any of our photos. Or made any comments on anything. I have male friends and I’m always cheering on their relationships, so for me that’s odd, but to each their own.
I’m a fairly private person, and I don’t know this woman at all. I think it’s silly to send a friend request to another woman you don’t know; simply because she’s dating someone you used to hang out with privately well over a year ago.
I’m sure I’m overthinking this. I know I’m not going to accept it (simply because I find it rude to assume I’ll know who you are in the first place). But should I let it rot or just decline it? I don’t want to cause drama by denying it and have her find out.
Like I said; I’m sure it’s silly but I’ve been having holiday anxiety so I’m a bit more on edge and weary than usual.
