My boyfriend recently got his first job out of college, making 30,000 a year and I am in my last year of college. I’m happy for him, but I can’t help but think that we can’t have a comfortable life on that income and that I might end up being the breadwinner until I become a stay home mom. He doesn’t want to be in this job forever, it’s a stepping stone to his dream career (not exactly upwards promotion but instead making money to invest in his own business). He said if that happened he would get a second job, but I’m just not sure. I’m thinking about the next few years, getting married and moving into a house. I just don’t think we can be homeowners in the next few years or ever go on vacation with that income. Am I a bitch?
