I've been lifting for a while (3 years), and I'm in a very top-notch, well-respected career. I also drive a BMW, and I'm 24.
Only the lifting did anything for my SMV. The car helped marginally, but me focusing on studies, being in a high-powered career, and becoming "worldly" did not do jack shit for SMV. 99% of my male colleagues who thus didn't lift in their teens or early 20's have thus become simps/incels. None of them are ugly, many of them are well-off, and we are in a very big city. We have plenty of friends.
I myself have reached a point that I need some strong measure to boost my own SMV to a level I'm ok with. I'm currently in a dry spell. Dating apps were great at first from 2014-2017, but in the last year or so, women have gotten unimaginably picky on them. I wish I had started lifting earlier than I did, and that I didn't screw up the first year with bad diet. I have good trap genetics, so I'm slightly out of DYEL territory with clothes on. 5'11, slightly under 170 lbs, B: 190, S: 235, DL: 270. No more than 15% bf. I know these numbers could be better, so I've been working on them. Unfortunately I did work hard even for this, and nobody in my family has good genes for muscle building.
Like I said, I've hit a *virtual* ceiling. It's not impossible for me to cross, but it's one that I could cross through with any of the following: a cycle of SARMs or a basic test cycle (not trying to destroy myself here), a refined body tattoo, or earrings. Any other ideas? These would probably make real-life cold approach easier too. I've tried that, but in this past year it's been to no avail. I suspect that women's options on dating apps have made cold approach harder, whether we want to admit it or not. I'm also not going to lower my standards and think they're reasonable.
What do you think? Did any of you do something similar when you hit a ceiling?
