'Rebuke not an elder, but intreat him as a father; and the younger men as brethren;' (1 Tim. 5:1 KJV)
"Now no one would say of themselves they would rebuke their parents harshly right? Or any elder? Right? We don't have to change absolutes at once. Slight changes. Small changes. Fit the times. So let's just say it's now okay to rebuke and older man, what teenager doesn't rebel against parents right? Whatever, everyone does it? Would be an easy change. Consequently no parent will be able to point at scripture for this, because they'll allow themselves to be rebuked now. Isn't this fantastic? Who cares, just say it not to do it harshly, that would put the critical Christians at ease enough. Indeed, Bailey's externalization, very much so. They'll probably like this freedom to reprove their fathers, mothers, other seniors, the annoying old ones, don't they? If not, now they will. So well, let's serve them what they want right? They'll love it. We'll do them a favor. 'Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law.' (Book of Thelema, Aleister Crowley)"
'Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers,' (NIV)
We had an dynamic thread a few months ago, where the moderators admitted HarperCollins' New International Version will be considered inaccurate. 'An afwul translation'. (Due to, one, it's egalitarian content, two, growing tendency forcing the sentences to approve LGBT behaviour, and in whole however nuanced, changing the Holy book to fit sinful man, instead containing the words as they are inspired by God.) Fortunately, it does not deserve to be be classified as the Word of God. This thing, has all appearances of a Bible, and with that, desires to deceive masses of people, every so gradually, ever so nuanced. It wouldn't have made it's popularity, were it not first, a credible source to be trusted. The 1984 version, among few, is arguably, a Bible translation highly cherished. What's worth deceiving if there is none who trusts it's credibility?
Gladly, the Christian will know the Word of God. The Christian will point at a the Holy Book, instead of a leatherbound atrocity found among the ugliest of man-made misconceptions. It's frustrating, the fact the uneducated are deceived without struggle. Deceived without mention, deceived without doubt, plainly following the publishers word for it. 'Other people read it, right? The pastor reads it, right? Our whole church uses this bible, yes there are some differences, but hey, who cares, it's just simply, translation. It's not that bad, it's fine!' This is going on and will go on for centuries. The attempting to fit the category, so to deceive, by merely checking all pretences and never being it in reality. Depending only on the misleading of it's deceived, to be able to change reality. Remember last thread? Denial of traditional masculinity? Same story. Dependent on deceiving the honest ignorant, I might add intellectual naieve, for it's effectiveness. Never being true, or ever in position to aspire to anything true. Merely boasting in deception, destruction, lies.
"I forgot to thank you, Ellsworth," said Ike solemnly. "So now I thank you. There are lots of bum plays, but you picked mine. You and Mr. Fougler."
"Your bumness is serviceable, Ike."
"Well, that's something."
"It's a great deal."
"How—for instance?"
"Don't talk too much, Ellsworth," said Gus Webb. "You've got a talking jag."
"Shut your face, Kewpie-doll. I like to talk. For instance, Ike? Well, for instance, suppose I didn't like Ibsen——"
"Ibsen is good," said Ike.
"Sure he's good, but suppose I didn't like him. Suppose I wanted to stop people from seeing his plays. It would do me no good whatever to tell them so. But if I sold them the idea that you're just as great as Ibsen—pretty soon they wouldn't be able to tell the difference."
"[removed], can you?"
"It's only an example, Ike."
"But it would be wonderful!"
"Yes. It would be wonderful. And then it wouldn't matter what they went to see at all. Then nothing would matter—neither the writers nor those for whom they wrote." "How's that, Ellsworth?"
"Look, Ike, there's no room in the theater for both Ibsen and you. You do understand that, don't you?"
"In a manner of speaking—yes."
"Well, you do want me to make room for you, don't you?"
"All of this useless discussion has been covered before and much better," said Gus Webb.
"Shorter. I believe in functional economy."
"Where's it covered, Gus?" asked Lois Cook. "
"'Who had been nothing shall be all,' sister."
There are are lot's of people who see what's being done, and point out what's happening. Many articles are written. You will find a selection of the articles down below.
Let us not hide this intelligence, as if it was a dirty little secret not to be spoken of, or to refrain from hurting someones 'feelings'. Would we deny God by because we find other peoples, incorrect feelings more important than His Word? Let's be blunt, honest and certain of the things we do know, inspired, and led by The Spirit to know truth from error, to help those whom we love. 'Buy the truth and sell it not, also wisdom, and instruction, and understanding.' (Pro. 27:17)
Lastly before closing, in any compromise with evil, only evil can win. Please think for yourselves, reason, and cling not to mud and major views or opinions. 'Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.' (1 The. 5:21). Know that any contradiction you accept, any lie of satan, will bring you further from the One, you're destined from birth to be with. 'for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control' (2 Tim. 1:7) Cling to Jesus Christ, our Messiah, and the Word of God through which we come closer to Him.
May God bless the reader.
