While I appreciate and fully endorse rp teachings, one aspect I have issue with on these forums is that I see people put forward the notion of 'converting' one relationship status to another.

If fwb and dating are NOT different why the different terminology?

Surely the different terms imply that the feelings involved are different? Like there is a more romantic/ deeper element in dating while fwb is just mates with sex?

Now I am not advocating behaving like a beta chump who behaves like an idiot who proposes on first date or forsakes all others while dating - dread and the rest still apply when dating.

All I'm saying is that the notion of converting a girl you just view as a fwb to one you want to date seems ridiculous to me.

Also, are you not going to get shit when she 'ties' you down about why you were 'just' fwbs first?

'Why wasn't I good enough to date first?!, ' You're only with me cos I got pregnant!' blah blah'

Similarly, downgrading them to plate seems equally retarded. Like a woman is gonna accept demotion.

There's nothing INHERENTLY wrong in wanting a romance and dating, it's how it's DEALT with that matters.
