I'm a 33 year old virgin and have kept being told to lower my standards. Now my standards are so low I'm not physically attracted to them anymore but I can still find some women who I think I could get along with. I'm getting old and would like to start a family some day so I think something like being kind and nice is important and we would end up getting ugly anyway so I guess we might as well start out ugly.

Anyway I'm pretty socially stunted so I'm not good at lying or faking enthusiasm so basically any woman can tell right away how I feel about her looks and none of them find this acceptable.

How come men are expected to be wanted for their personality but women in my experience never do?
