17M 6 ‘3 180 lbs. I started training a year ago at 150 pounds, pretty much borderline underweight. I’ve worked super hard in the gym and feel a lot better about my body image.
Yet, according to my family I’m starting to “scare them” I’m 6 ‘3 180 lbs lol. According to my mom I need to tone down the arms “because bodybuilders look gross”
For some reason my parents are obsessed with “lean long muscle” what even is that? I literally showed them a pic of me when I was underweight and they said I looked better there. Apparently I need to talk to a trainer about doing “more planks and core work to develop leaner muscle” or they’re gonna cancel my gym membership.
Anyone gone through something similar? How’d it turn out. This seems ridiculous to me.
